Many prophecies exist about the 3 Days of Darkness 444prophecynews.com. Numerous Protestant prophets have received vision and words from God about this coming event (The Catholics have been given prophecies on the subject comprising part-truth and part-lies by demons). In brief, a thick darkness will fall on the world at noon and for exactly 72 hours, demons will be fully unleashed on earth during this terrible time. The main rapture might happen 40 days after the 3 DOD.

At current time (Dec 2024), I will try to summarize what I understood about this event from the many prophecies I read on the subject. It is prone to errors, every prophecies is a piece of the final puzzle and there are many false prophets that give wrong pieces.
This event doesn't seem to be explicitly stated in Revelation and that's why most Christians will be taken off-guard. Very few bother to study and even less believe modern-day prophecies which are obviously not included in the Biblical canon which some idolize. Paul exhorted us in 1 Thessalonians 5:20 not to quench the Spirit, not to despise prophecies and to test all things, many things the vast majority of Christians today have never done. Nevertheless there are references to this event in the canon which we will look at.
Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day
Isaiah 60:1-2 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
The 3 DOD event refer to 3 past chapters of the Bible: the 9th plague of darkness that fell on the Egyptian, the Jonah story and Lord Jesus Christ resurrection.
What we will live is similar to the plague of darkness when the Egyptian could not see anyone or move for 3 days but the Bride of Christ will have light like the Israelites when it happen. The thick darkness fell on the Egyptian around Passover (12 April), the 3 DOD might also fall around the month of April (Around Passover).
Exodus 10:21-23 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness spreads over Egypt—darkness that can be felt.” So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days. No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.
It also concur with Jonah story who stayed 3 days and 3 nights in the dark belly of a whale for 3 days and was sent to warn Nineveh during 40 days of God's coming judgement against them and that they must change their ways or perish. The same will happen to all humanity, except Jonah will be replaced by the 144,000 (God's chosen elects).
Jonah 1:17 Now the Lord provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Jonah 3:5 Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.” Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “40 more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.
The 3 DOD is backed by the Biblical canon, some believe it will happen when the 6th seal of Revelation is broken but according to what I read it will be much sooner, like at the beginning of the 3rd seal of Revelation Famine or at the beginning of the 4th seal of Revelation Death. The 3 DOD is backed by The Everlasting Gospel from the prophet William Brooks.
Stand Strong and Purify Yourselves Darkness will fall on your land and will envelope the earth, a darkness so thick that the noon sun shall appear to have been extinguished.
The Mighty Gathering of the Faithful in Christ. Repudiate their lies and understand that the faithful in Christ will not endure thick darkness as the plagues of Egypt, neither will they be present on earth when the abyss is opened, and neither will my Church be overcome by the gates of hell, that they should hide away in their homes like cowards who are powerless over evil! Understand, the blasphemy of all who say these things will not go unrewarded for all who refuse repentance from such foolishness.
In the greater context, the coming sequence of events are directly related to Lord Jesus Christ resurrection: Lord Jesus Christ was crucified during Passover (Month of April) and waited for 3 days before being resurrected, afterwards Lord Jesus Christ stayed with His disciples for 40 days before being taken up to sky.
Acts 1:1-3 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during 40 days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
In a similar manner, the world will experience 3 DOD equivalent to the days which Lord Jesus Christ waited before His resurrection. Thereafter the elects will prophesy and bring many to Christ during 40 days until the main rapture happen and numerous people are taken to the sky like Lord Jesus Christ did after His last 40 final days on Earth.
What Will Happen?
The 3 DOD event is complex and serve many purposes. In terms of mindset, the whole world will shift from the 'natural' realm to the 'supernatural' realm (Unless the rapture already happened before). What was thought as inconceivable for the majority of humanity will become a reality. A lot of satan's deceptions and lies will crumble in an instant but unfortunately he has already new deceptions ready to 'explain' everything that happened. This event will warn and wake up many that they walk the way of perdition, probably billions will turn to the rightful God Jesus Christ after this. It is a painful but necessary process to avoid many to go to Hell.
The 3 DOD will start when a seal of the Apocalypse is broken. I suppose it might officially break the 3rd seal (Famine) or 4th seal of the Apocalypse (Death). It is also very possible one of the raptures will kickstart the 3 DOD.
The rapture of the innocents (Children, unborn babies, mentally feeble) will happen shortly before or at the onset of the 3 DOD. All those under the age of accountability (maybe around 15 Y-old) will be taken to Heaven in order to protect them from God's wrath (It is the 1st rapture). Children of God will be protected during those 3 days if they don't leave their place, angels can even relocate them if they are stuck in a bad location.
Global chaos will ensue right away and the enemy will directly spread the lies that it was due to alien abduction and Christian's fault.
A thick darkness will fall on the world at noon and for exactly 72 hours (No more, no less), time will stop and demons will be fully unleashed on earth and have the rights to torture, rape, kill, render insane anyone found outside. The demons will be principally attracted to heavily demonized people, so this will be a first cleaning of sins from the earth. The Bride of Christ will be protected from them even if caught outside.
Jesus will appear individually to each person during the 3 DOD (the way might differ for each individuals) and everyone would be given the chance to accept or reject Him. Everyone will see all their sins of commission and omission like a movie of their life, unfolding in real-time, before their eyes. They will be alone with Jesus and their sins, no one will see or hear their interior life. Anyone accepting Jesus and asking for His help could be saved by Him. Those that curse Him might die on the spot.
Like in Jonah's story, the world will be in thick darkness for 3 days and 3 nights, afterward God's chosen people (The first fruits) will then perform many miracles and wonders to bring as many people to Lord Jesus for 40 days. During those 40 days, all Hell will break loose on Earth but humanity will be free from demonic suggestion so they can use their best judgement without being polluted by evil.
At the end of those 40 days, Jesus will appear in the sky and bring back his elect (The first fruits) and many who accepted Him during the 40 days (The grain) (2nd rapture).
The 2nd rapture is the start of Jacob's trouble, 7 years of continuous and increasing heavy punishment on those that rejected God (See Revelation). WW3 will ensue after the 2nd rapture and the nations (Which are all already under satan's control) might use all their nuclear arsenal to fight against this supposed alien invasion and killing as many people as God allow them.
The 3 DOD is one of the many warnings to fall on earth, the darkness represent the absence of God and many sinners will experience a taste of a world without the Holy Father to love and protect them as they rejected Him. The 3 DOD are a tipping point of no return for God's creation.
During this time, the elect need to pray more than ever for their loved ones as God will be very attentive to those prayers and bless, protect the ones prayed over.
How To Prepare?
Worldwide northern lights (aurora borealis) will be seen before the 3 DOD from 2 to 48 hours.
The final sign in the sky before the darkness fall might be a fully red sky. The phenomenon might seems natural per se (Comet, Planet X interaction with the earth or something similar) but all of those are God's miracle made to appear natural. People will feel in their spirit that they need to hide when the darkness fall. The darkness is very oppressing and we won't be able to see 1 inch in front of us without the light of God. When you see the signs in the sky, it is time to prepare and get your loved ones and pets into a safe space.
You need to lock all your doors and windows when the 3 DOD start.
Never open your windows or doors else you will give the demons legal rights to enter and do whatever they please to any unsaved person in your home. If you are saved, you could rebuke them in lord Jesus Christ's name. The darkness will be so thick outside that none could walk to your place, so any voices heard outside at the time will be from the demons tricking you into opening to them. Stay vigilant and make sure the kids don't open the door by inadvertence (If they haven't been rapture yet).
The darkness will fall at noon, many people will be at work or doing their daily activities. Prepare and try out fastest routes to go home. When you start to see the signs in the sky, warn others, take some time off and prepare for what is coming (Don't be taken off-guard).
If you are in a car when the darkness fall, stay inside, close your windows, lock your doors and pray the Lord. Even if you are in a bad situation, the Lord could rescue you if you repent and plead His mercy.
Strong earthquakes will happen during the 3 DOD so be cautious with fallen objects and broken windows. You should draw the curtains and cover your windows by either cardboard or black plastic so that even in the case of broken glass, demons won't be able to peak inside your home. Don't peak outside of the windows either else they will be able to terrorize and kill you if you see them.
Have some ready to eat foods and ample amount of water where you will stay during those 3 days. Running water might be stopped in the city as the pump system rely on electricity. Keep important medicine at hand, don't forget the sanitaries.
No electricity or connection will be available during the 3 DOD, this is made to cut humanity from all distractions and focus solely on God at this time. It will increase the chance that people make the right choice to call to Him for help. Have candles ready and gas stoves if needed to cook your food (Beware of earthquakes and fire risk). Only a wind up clock will work to keep the time else nothing electric could be used for 3 days except for God's elect.
No clock should work so it will be difficult to know when the 3 days are passed. Demons can flash lights at your windows to make you believe the darkness is gone, in this case don't fall into their tricks. Wait for the all clear when the true daylight returns. The feeling of oppression might have disappeared.
The temperature will be stuck worldwide at 60 Fahrenheit (15 Celsius) so prepare the appropriate clothes and blankets to keep your warm during those 3 days.
Evidently if you haven't yet, you need to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and repent from all your sins. During the 3 DOD, gather and pray Lord Jesus Christ, have a Bible to read aloud to those that are with you. God can provide for his children, even food and water if you have not prepared enough. Do not let fear grip you, for God will be there, and will bring peace (Fear is an evident token of perdition).
On August 3, 1979, Howard Pittman, a Baptist minister for 35 years, died while on the operating table during surgery and had a near-death experience. God showed him that 97% of those being judged went to Hell (YT video) and that was 46 years ago when people were still partly religious. Today, I suppose that it is even much lower with only 1% and less of humanity that go to Heaven.
The 3 DOD will be a painful process for humanity (the birth pangs) but it is really for our own goods. With so many people rejecting God today and walking straight to Hell, a great shaking is necessary to save many that would have been destined to Hell otherwise. All the children will be raptured, go directly to Heaven and avoid the Apocalypse: this only should be a great relief to any good parents. Many teenagers and adults will be saved next in the following 40 days and could be raptured in the 2nd rapture. Some people will be protected until the end of the tribulations if they follow Jesus Christ. Many chances to escape the coming Hell on earth will be given as God is good and just. Unfortunately for those that choose satan by rejecting Lord Jesus Christ, they will see first hand what it is like to live in satan's kingdom.
In the end, I expect multiple billions to be saved and go to Heaven with the many raptures (Children alone around 18 are around 2.5 billions). This is very far from the millions that go to Heaven nowadays.
